The Princess

Readers,
Please don’t hate the Princess too much. Baal used basic psychology and manipulation to sway her.

TL;DR: Baal smort - he use good looks and opportunity to make Princess have doki doki moment for him. He be sad, idealistic, green flag revolutionary bf while secretly bad guy. His goal is last panel of chapter 451.

For starters, the chapter wherein she was attacked (staged by Baal), Baal prevented Iruma and Azz Azz’s attack from landing and he took spotlight by “saving the day”. The adrenaline generated from a life-or-death situation was transferred as a “romantic” feeling as Baal turned on the charm by using his ikemen looks.

The Princess was grateful that she was saved, horrified that such a situation had even happened and relieved that her knight in shining armour was someone good looking. Although a deity, who could be centuries old, she seemed to have been isolated from others or lived a very sheltered life. The first brush with society was something so unpredictable, something that elicited unknown emotions and Ball capitalised on that.

Baal created an opportunity, thwarted all attempts of saving the Princess so he could claim the opportunity he created then used his charms on an emotionally vulnerable, sheltered young lady. It’s the classic way to seduce sheltered ladies. He then played the part of concerned political leader while having his lackeys move in the shadows to bolster his position and grow his influence. With a few words and with no one suspecting him, he made a play for the Demon Lord position and well, we get the latest chapter.
