When is a slow burn too much of a slow burn? Normally when that happens I loose interest and drop it

It’s usually too much when the conflict gets dragged out, or when the story is too complicated that it overwhelms the romance aspect. A good slowburn would be something like “Dash”

Spoiler: the only problem i have with dash, is the slowburn is good, however the chapter where they agree to just have sex kinda ruined it

Right!!! Especially when one conflict gets solved then another one pops up and so on to the point it’s just annoying

Dragged out waste of time chapters that don't add anything to the plot and when theres literally not even a HINT of progression or chemistry. I'm a slow burn lover who can handle 90+ chapters of absolute no smut or dating because I live on the chemistry and tension so authors need to give us at least something!
