Is there a satisfying redemption arc?
Or just the bare minimum—highly typical 180 change to simp/puppy/devoted ML ?

Sudden change (with no apology) is not redemption.
Well, since season 1, it's clear that the top likes bottom but he has his issues so he pushes him away harshly a lot of times. Top set boundaries that he himself breaks and bottom well, accepts him because he loves him. So until bottom says he doesn't want to see him again, top doesn't do anything major. Season 2 started with top groveling and being pushy as hell, doing things so bottom can be in his orbit. Still a bit of an asshole because he only confuse bottom a lot, like actions don't match words. It is satisfying? A bit? They maintain a dynamic of fwb but top slowly discovers that he wants something more than that and he doesn't know how to do that or what to do to approach him whitout hurting him and because bottom doesn't believe him lol

There are side stories too but there are still in incomplete.
While I liked the improvement in the art style, the bottom looked too young sometimes. In real life it's fine, there's all kind of people, but in fiction, making him that cute, sparkling young was just too much. It seems just another attempt to the cute bottom trope. He looked naive too when he wasn't like that in the first season. He had more character.
The ML, I don't hate him. He had 'valid reasons' for being an asshole. Not that it's fine to be treated badly by someone with that past, but I understood his feelings and he did a 180° change. He became such a simp for the bottom.
But, all they do is have sex. They're in the honeymoon phase... perpetually.
