And despite all of that, you still see some readers insisting Riftan gets the same level of character growth as Maxi. That’s one of the biggest copes I’ve seen from the fanbase; It's frustrating as it is pathetic. He supposedly recognizes how “impossibly brave” Maxi is, yet he still refuses to trust her with the truth about what her father is plotting against them. For someone who claims to admire her strength, he sure doesn’t treat her like someone capable of protecting him or handling the truth. I still won't forget how he essentially kept Maxi's pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage a secret from her and ordered everyone else around her to stay silent about it as well. Imagine that, your wife is the LAST PERSON to find out about losing her child that she didn't even fucking know she had. Just... let that sink in.
It's a pretty long manhwa I think the novels like 300+ chapter maybe 400 can't remember but growth comes when maxi goes to the world tower :p
we're over 100 chapters and still no character development from Riftan, is it so hard to talk to your wife? like seriously. Does he really think that his "I expect nothing" is romantic, even knowing how strong-willed Maxi is.
