The ML should take work seriously, stay professional, and pursue someone else. If the MC isn't going to magically go from straight to bi, then forcing the relationship is only going to hurt both of them. Your self-esteem would take a huge hit if your partner looked disgusted while having sex with you especially when it's your first time. At that point, it's healthier for the ML to move on and find someone who genuinely wants and loves him.
