I see it as Ichi’s consciousness having been replicated. Like, the AI makes a copy right before death in order to torture them, but Ichi didn’t die, as his physical body is still alive and well. So Pico lives with a replica of Ichi’s consciousness, and the original Ichi lives in the real world.
He's an AI isn't he? Since the consciousness of the true ichi is forever stuck in a separate space......
That means only Azuma & the mother is alive and with the mother in that state... only Azuma is the true survivor of the family.....
