first of all, this isn't Isekai. kanba time traveled to the past to her own body/life. although her mentality is 30, in the past she did know izumi when they both children and teen. however at the same time, the current izumi isn't the one from her future/past life and she always saw izumi and the rest as children.
there are still ways to make romance works without making it weird, for example - erasing kanba's 30-yo mentality, for example making her forget her past life/future. - returning her to the future and meet older izumi - making her stop mentally aging somehow (e.g. put her in a comma) so izumi can catch up, or simply just separate them for now until izumi grew up, tbh after everyone are adults age gap doesn't matter in face of serious commitment and as long as there are respect between people - make izumi also remember the future somehow so he will be also mentally 30
but beside that, this might be unpopular opinion since kanba has acted more maturely compared to the rest.... I don't believe she's mentally 30 in normal way... an extreme shut-in usually didn't mature much, they didn't have the same experience as normal 30, their mentality might even regress due to depression and stuff... therefore sometimes I feel it's a bit off how much she matured due to the trauma of dying and regret... ofc she will change a lot but sometimes she just feels waaaay to mature even for an adult (there are a lot of immature 30 yo who aren't even a shut in after all). ofc it's still possible that she was actually a mature person ALL ALONG so if she just changed her perspective a bit her nature finally can shine. I still think sometimes Kanba emphasize being a thirty unfairly to herself. so what if you're thirty? you never go to college, you never dated, you never have a proper job. so I wished she can be less reserved and relied on others help even if they're way younger than her.
Idk what to think.
