Yeah, that wouldnt make any sense unless there was another Nanjo we werent aware of. This is the best and realistic route for them (also quite predictable, not that i have problem with it tbh).
Liver failure Mokyeon and cigarette addict black lungs Nanjo will eventually find each other (whether it's in a real relationship or another heat and lust driven situationship at first) I just hope it doesnt take almost an entire season, I have this blind trust that the author will get the pacing right.
Not against a chasing arc tbh. I just cant imagine a scenario that would lead to it because theres no way Mokyeon is going to move on (not because Nanjo is that great, Mokyeon is just that crazy lmao) or be the one to cut Nanjo off.
Unless, maybe, the author pulls some soap opera Kdrama plot where Nanjos rich evil cousin uses their relationship to destroy Nanjos life and take the company so mokyeon ends up like "letting go is also a form of love

let me start with im glad they talked, and Nanjo admitted that his accusations were wrong like (see im well aware that Nanjo not a saint i just hate it when the boymoms put him in the same bracket as borderline rapist just to justify things, like sure nanjo is not saint but hes pale compared to all the mess in this story so)
Tbh this is quite literally the most realistic outcome for them. Theres no way you can look at them and believe Nanjo would just accept that Mokyeon is in love with him (tbh at one panel he shakend up or whatever). Fell in love based on what, exactly? Everything between them was built on lies, after all. A separation is a must, especially for Nanjo like im sorry, but they arent going to miraculously become a couple just because Nanjo came from anal sex lmaoo
I want Nanjos POV because we've been stuck in this Mokyeon misery party for what feels like 80 years, and im interested in learning more about Nanjos white knight syndrome. The man knew he was being used by Sunhwa, and he was just like, "its none of your business anyway so?" Lmao. I bet "helping" Sunhwa gave him more personal satisfaction than anything else. Having ego and pride of a rich person is one thing, but man genuinely went down real dirty for this so im hoping for a proper lore behind it?
Speaking of Sunhwa, thank God he didnt actually mean that shit because that was my main issue with his character. Idgaf about body counts or him sleeping around, that outing comment was just not it.
Lastly, for those who want Mokyeon to move on so we can get a Nanjo chasing and begging arc lmao. First of all, Mokyeon is way too mentally unstable to function like that (tbh he professional heeds help with or without relationship with nanjo) and second, Nanjo has no reason to chase or beg, he has every right to cut Mokyeon off after this chapter.
The most likely scenario is that Nanjo will be the one to pull Mokyeon out of his misery hole once he realizes that Mokyeon has left an impression on him and that unfortunately, theres a Mokyeon sized gap in his life that becomes impossible to ignore during their time apart.
After that, they'll be on equal footing (well sorta kinda), standing shoulder to shoulder, working things out and growing together to build a relationship that lasts.
