From my interpretation, I wouldn’t call him a manipulator lol
He’s the kind of person who struggles to open up, even with Yeonwoo
He’s terrified of disappointing others, that’s why he painted himself to be a Mr. Perfect (+ He never said anything about his family around Yeonwoo bc he’s an adoptee)
In the novel they fought and broke up once on a different occasion over the fact that Dohyeon never told Yeonwoo anything
His actions that were meant to protect his image and feelings left Yeonwoo feeling distant and miserable so I do kinda get why people are calling him manipulative lol.
The novel is so worth reading though!! The way he consoles Yeonwoo is goooodddd
I wish the chasing was longer tbh even the side story wasn’t enough for me
I'm so angry at Dohyeon but i cant bring myself to hate him either. I love him but he needs a punch
