Let’s dissect a bit into Victor and Henry

Victor is shown to be a child who said to be a monster, probably due to his genius mind and capability that the average person can’t understood, can be seen through his experiments, bring back the dead to life, potions, creations.

Henry is supposed to be human, outstanding appearance, charming demeanour, composure in all cases/lack of obvious expression, good at socializing (business, lovers, …). We can dissect and understood him better through the reaction of his parts, “heart”, “head”, “dick”.
“Heart”, his heart is tied to Victor, even when the body is somewhere else, his heart urge and lead him back to Victor, established since the beginning and throughout the series. However, that heart is not strong enough to erase doubts of the mind, no matter whose mind it attached to, Adam or Henry. A devoted heart that makes him want to clean, cook, take care, and more for Victor, however prone to damage from loneliness.
“Head”, is the most complicated component of Henry, through dialogues exposed his high EQ, great analysis skills, very logical, almost abstained of emotions, from Victor words, as if V became a lab rat. A common trait of those minds, are doubts, doubts that usually manifest as cynical. Through the dialogues within this series, we can coined a few traits from Henry’s head.
- Thrills seeker, a dopamine junkie, he let things happens as long as he deemed it interesting, and dropped it the moment it’s not. Including chasing the main actress.
- He found Victor to be very interesting, he can’t stand the idea of not seeing Victor’s face/reaction, even during sex. He think lying V, pathetic V, crying V, … as cute, or interesting, this included when V feeling secure, loved, happy. He almost seems to yearned to consumes all of Victor like a ravenous beast.
- He seems to think his mind has complete immunity to emotions, especially love, deeming the love potion V made to be a sham potion. But as established before, V is a genius, if he believes that is a love potion, it should be. You can’t fill a water bottle more if it is already at max capacity, how can Henry fall in love with Victor, when he can’t love Victor anymore than he already has. This proves that he is blind towards his affection towards V.
- “head” mentioned “nothing can be changed, no matter Henry knows about V planning on killing his sex partners or not”, this means 2 things, he doesn’t care (enough) about his sex partners, whether they are alive or dead, to impact his actions, AND, it cannot change what leads to his death. If you consider the first thing he ask V when they first found him “do you still resent him”, we can assumed this is a question that bother the mind.

This is long, I will continue here:

    - When “head” speak, he rarely ask questions, he just describes, from V’s word, like he is reading V’s mind. But he asked “Do you still resent him?” and “Do you want to know the answer now?”. I assumed these are the questions that consumed Henry before he died, making his dead inevitable. He wants to know if V resent him, and he was thinking about his answer to V. Personally, it sounds like “Did it make you stop loving me?”, “What can I do to appease you?”, “How can I make you stay?”, “I don’t want to lose you”, “I can’t lose you”.
    - To add to it, after waking up, the “heart” returns to V side, “dick” is out and about, need to be succumbed to return. However “head” just ask that question and very easily came back with them, even with the event, he went with them a bit too easy. Then why did he ran away? Similar to why he was on that trip right after noticing V closing the door after seeing his escapade, only to die haunted by the question of whether V resented him? If he is as calm as he present himself, when “head” are awake without the influence of “heart” and “dick”, he could have waited for V to wake up and ask his question. But no, he RAN away. “Dick” wasn’t even the one who first to leave, it was “head”.
    - “head” set up and forced V to accept his love for “dick”. This seems to be genuine. Henry’s mind appears to care for V, wanting him to have the love of 3 persons, even though they are all monsters V created. This was done without the influence of Henry’s “heart”. This proves to a certain extent, Henry, while alive, was selfish and jealous when it comes to V. We can even think that V loneliness and isolation also came from Henry, who might purposefully did it to keep V all to himself.
Last, “dick”, there’s nothing much to go about it, as it just now exists on somebody else body. But it obviously easily turn on by V, love being inside of V, have a hard time getting it up to other people, unless under influence, be it long term stimulation, or mental stimulation.

Generally, in a way, Victor and Henry was the yin and yang to each other, a very fucked up yin yang, but are, nonetheless. Victor is a genius with monstrous capabilities created by his talent and mind, while emotionally as human as it can be. Henry, while appears normal and charming on the outside, was a monster on the inside, who capable of playing with rules of the human society, while morally grey and cannot understand the normal healthy restraints of a human.

The demise caused is mostly based on Henry, and his selfishness. Henry was V only family left, but V was also Henry only family. They are both gifted in different ways, and are left without proper guidance.

This story is interestingly quite complex with a lot of potential. However was focus on the wrong aspect, and wrong story telling techniques. Diminishing it to nothing but a fucked up smut. What a shame.

Thanks for reading my, maybe more than 2 cents of characters analysis hehe
