It’s because the actor does not fit him not in his looks nor his mannerisms it’d be on thing to not get his looks right but he doesn’t even exude his mannerisms

His acting/mannerisms is definitely on point,,also imo the voice of this actor also matches my imagination,,like the deep voice is totally on point,,
Jay is extremely narcissistic character and not to forget a psychopath , he is unpredictable and selfish, when I watched the live action I found the other actor playing his character well because he was displaying indifference and sorrow quite well but Jay’s actor looks too soft he’s expressions aren’t hardened he’s just there speaking and I hope this doesn’t sound mean but he just looks like a twink to me.
