I don’t understand why people think MC is a bad character I really do think he has the potential to be a good written character since he’s obviously battling with his own morality and anxiety, there’s a horror/gothic element in this story which is the teach giving his body to guwon (scary, possibly undead) for survival yet he’s aiding a rebellion in an apocalypse which makes him stressful to the reader, the hounds are clearly adept in an apocalypse environment which makes them the hounds, they are special in a way and we can’t apply that to everyone especially the MC who is just a guy ( don’t get me wrong, I know he can be dangerous when he’s out of it but outside of that he knows the corruption of this place and puts on a ‘heroic’ role because he is moral character in an apocalyptic setting which is infamously irritating for people)
