I don't believe whatever that comes out of characters mouth . Nothing of friendly act has been shown in this manhwa .In real life too , many ppl say they are friends but aren't really friends.
Lemme just give you two examples of how much friends they are :
1. Remember that Banana earrings that Mokyeon teared off bloody from his ears . Did you see sunhwa asking about what happened to you ? Why you hurt yourself like that ? Or any follow up on how his friend is doing to self harm like that ? No he didn't.
2. In chapter 33 , when mokyeon came to his house with his face battered, his one eye almost gone due to beating, did you see him applying any kind of medicine? Or suggestion to see a doctor . If he wasn't in relationship with Nanjo and it wasn't that deep , he should be genuinely concerned about his friends bad conditions. But nop there is nothing like that .
