In the novel there was even one chapter where he was distressed because he couldn't access the internet, and he had to go to the Hunter's Association to get help from Yeon, where she discovers he just accidentally turned on airplane mode I've always wondered why he never learned more languages since he loves knowledge and sees himself as really smart and stuff but as I read more it's simply because be does love knowledge, but more specifically magical knowledge....
