Dude I'm an Indian and even I was overwhelmed when I visited Varanasi last month so I kind of understand them, even I too was looted by local cab and rickshaw drivers so my only advice to anyone who is travelling anywhere in India use maps and apps like uber etc to know If they are charging you properly also never be afraid to ask for help as you all can already guess India ia an extrovert country we love to interact
