From what I summarised, chayun got into a accident
And when he woke up he couldn't remember the past 7 years of his life.when ki young said that they've been dating for 7 years nd that they were practically married, chayun said that he doesn't acknowledge their relationship (he was straight before dating ki young)

So even when mc pursued chayun for some time, as chayun couldn't remember anything,
Mc decided it was best to break up.

so cha yoon has really religious parents and when hes in the hospital they tell mc to break up or something like this, mc has a fucking big saviour complex so he does what they say bc he want cyn to have "a normal life"... (but to be honest i think hes also a fucking pussy who was scared he'll never remember him.. he literally left him in the hospital bed after that, and like in the last part of the novel we find out that yoon was in a coma for one month before waking up?? and he left him immediately after that??? bfr).
during cyn pov we get to know that he actually wanted to say sorry and talk about the past (so he could understand and maybe help him remember) after the outburst in the hospital but he couldn't get in touch with mc until the show.
anyway the novel has 140 chapters and they finally resolve the misunderstanding in the last chapters its was fucking hell bc they r dumbxdumper, they dont talk, cha yoon will do something that will give u the biggest second hand embarrassment and then mc will ignore him bc he doesnt want to get his hopes up
cha yoon starts remembering little things and mc will just ignore it??

well even if im remembering wrong they are homophobic, they dont accept the relationship and stopped talking to yoon, which the mc feels guilty about

Cha yoon during amnesia calls him Pervert and disguting so I am not sure where the parents being homophobic comes from.
