I have to accept that I am just not into apathetic MCs who act indifferent 99% of the time with zero personality. I just can't. I love this story, the art, the tone, the side characters, Jaewon... Maehwa is just. I can't. Reading him is like pulling teeth. I really loved the beginning and the ache of having a one-sided crush. And I get him feeling that he can't be friends with Jaewon in the beginning - but honestly he's such a dick lol. To everyone. Jaewon spends the first half of s1 just trying to be his friend and I don't know why everyone likes Maehwa at all when he's just kinda the type who wouldn't care if you fell in a ditch or not. And then Jaewon keeps dealing with sweet drunk!Maehwa and asshole sober!Maehwa. Then the second half is Jaewon so openly liking Maehwa and he STILL acts like a dick. I'm on ch 33, I've come this far I might as well finish the season but my god Jaewon you are too kind of a person, have some self respect please. Everyone calls them the cutest couple, and yes Jaewon is sunshine and goodness, but Maehwa?? Finishing this feels like homework, I'm only still here for the art style. And you all say the second couple is worse. Oof.
