sorry but saying the sex was “consensual” is just crazy. garam says stop multiple times. that should be enough. i understand that it isn’t comepletely non consensual, but i think we can consider the consent atleast dubious. feels like doing it injustice by calling it consensual when the rawness of it is meant to help portray the emotions primarily coming from professor here. it’s also not terrible to acknowledge that this wasn’t completely consensual, i know we’re rooting for this couple and don’t want extreme morally wrong actions to occur between them but i think it’s best to just say things how they are and not water them down which in turn prevents watering the dynamic down itself

Ong. There's no point in attempting to justify Kim's actions at this point anyway, considering the author makes it extremely clear from his very first appearance that he is physically abusive and mentally unstable. He is not intended to be viewed as a good person or a good love interest. Garam is regularly turning the other cheek for Kim (when he isn't in the wrong) just so that Kim won't cause a scene or god forbid, STRIKE him

One day the professor's gonna put that memory and the gloves behind. It can't be helped. He found something similar to a kindred spirit in the manager and lost him even before his dead. So he doesn't want that to happen again now that he has Garam. Still, if Garam knows someday about the manager, he's gonna ask serious questions and god I hope the professor doesn't go ballistic on him. I do have a question, that composition is not the same as the one he gave to Garam no? It would be so distasteful after all that speech he gave him about saying that it was his now...
Now, about their first time... It was tough as a reader but it was consensual. The professor went crazy on him, like a first timer who doesn't know anything more than asking if you like it and moving his hips lol he could have been more gentle and prep Garam a little more consciously. Garam was scared, who wouldn't? Not only the professor was not listening, his thing is huge... Like you can't be that wild with someone who's inexperience in that area but they never really talked about this before. Garam did want to be connected with the professor carnally. He had this romantic and idolized idea of them sleeping together, sharing warmth and the closeness of their bodies but sex is not always like this. Sometimes is nasty, ugly, borderline passionate... Professor showed him how he wanted him in a very intense almost thoughtless way. He really crashed that fantasy and fucked him. Hard. My poor Garam. While that memory of the manager persists and Jae's feelings for his gem doesn't rely only in possessiveness, ownership or whatever he must be feeling... They will continue with this toxic dynamic because Garam will endure, not because he loooves being treated like that, but that's the way he can be with that man.
God I hope the professor learns after care if he's going to be that sadistic. Not only hugging and kissing. He really forgot or didn't care that the next day they would go sightseeing with Garam's family and Garam must have been so tired and in pain. Gosh
