When it comes to antagonistic or villain characters, I always prefer getting a backstory. Like I get you don’t WANT to particularly feel bad for someone who is a horrible person but it’s not like being empathetic and understanding is mutually exclusive to admonishing the wrongdoings of a character but what do you guys think? Jaemin has a sad backstory an all but he’s still a piece of shit and I’m actively rooting for him to bite the curb just once.
Also, the fact that his parents just kinda didn’t address his whole attempted murder of his sibling and instead just left him to his own devices instead of oh idk trying to talk to him or have him talk to a therapist is crazy. Matter of fact they should had his ass in therapy after finding him in that house alone for who knows how long?! Even with the bullying that was happening, why does his little sister have to be the one to ask if he’s ok? I get he did something terrifying but do you think pulling away that much is going to make it any better?
