Ymir is a figure of Norse mythology and is an ancestor to all Jotun (giants) and AOT in general is heavily influenced and inspired by themes of Norse Mythology, this manhwa in some parts as well. It’s not an AOT reference but just a mythology reference, because both media take inspiration from the same source.
