i know this such a huge yap fest but i actually can't hold it in. if you came here because of the similarity to eighteen's bed i promise this clears so hard, the development of siwon & seonwoo is SO much more nuanced and deeper especially after we get even more of seonwoo's perspective further down the line after the very part of himself that everyone noticed and praises at the beginning starts to erode due to what he's dealing with, his ability to stand up for himself, his self-awareness and perceptiveness (this was genuinely a pivotal shift in the story for their relationship in my opinion it was SUCH a huge part and also when siwon actually started thinking logically for the first time instead of a black & white approach) i genuinely was crying ugly tears because of how seonwoo felt it RUINED me and i promise i cried more than i ever have, the balance between obsession and toxicity stressed me out i'm not even being dramatic i had to pause before i kept reading sometimes. from the very beginning it kept me so intrigued because i could never tell what direction it was going in because siwon was so manipulative and as his weird tendencies developed towards seonwoo, i guess it kept me on my toes in a way. i just wanted to keep reading to figure out what the explanation for his behaviour, all the twisted things he would say to seonwoo while rubbing his face gently, you can literally see siwon's facade he upheld from the very start from the bet (he had my ass manipulated) cracking down the line and it's already started. it might not be everyone's cup of tea because it appears like there's no way they'll get a happy ending or end up together especially with the ongoing violence, the novel will genuinely ruin you in a way because it gets so much worse before it gets even a little better.
