seriously my fav thing ab ilay is that he never gets a typical redemption arc like most red flag tops. even after they properly get together hes still evil and annoying and i really respect that. in the novel he even acknowledges it and says how taeui didnt really change him but just helped bring out something in him that was always there. my heartt
