Since they’re obviously using strong Catholic vibes to rep this church, you’re right. The ideal for priests and nuns is to forego all personal desires and worldly possessions and are expected to basically marry God and turn the church into their new family. But we should all know by now that humans in general are weak to temptation and struggle with all seven of the deadly sins daily. No one is surprised anymore when Catholic priests are accused of having some sexual affair consensual or not and abusing their power as a spiritual leader.
