Both of those terms are incorrect and are slurs, the accurate term is intersex for a human, hermaphrodite is only used for animals
the original publication is from 2014 and had it tagged as Futanari, I'm aware that now it's incorrect for 2026 but it's still tagged that way in Japan. and most people are more aware of the word Hermaphrodite then they are intersex especially on mgo since the site is old af. it's the same with Yaoi/Shounen Ai vs BL.
Just because the culture is seeped in ignorance doesn't mean we have to be as well, also I'm replying to a comment made in 2026 not a tag, everything is in English anyway not Japanese, most countries know it's a slur anyways. Slurs are slurs the justification of usage is interesting.
