It's cuz none of the characters have any originality.
They all feel more like tropes than characters. "Sweet blonde healer girl" "rude macho guy" "calm cool pretty girl who is actually tsundere"
They are all characters that have been used a million times. Usually if authors use those kind of tropey characters they give them something to make them unique. This author didn't bother so they are all super 1 dimensional.
The only thing that I've seen that is unique in this story is the "killer star" thing.

I liked this at first but now it's kinda annoying. The MC is obnoxiously righteous. I'm all for a hero like MC, but he never shuts up about saving people, and not killing people. Like half his conversations and his inner monolog somehow loop back around to it. We get it, he doesn't want to kill people.
It's even weirder when he does end up killing people and has no negative reaction to taking a life. He doesn't even hesitate. Pick a lane dude. Your either horrified by the thought of killing, but do it any way because you have no choice, or your not horrified by murder.
