i just picked up the novel and wow, the soldier that was supposed to give the witch her tinder box is an absolute fucking bitch. not only did he take the treasure and kill the witch, he took her tinder box and proceeded to use it for his own pleasure. striking the tinder box once calls for the copper dog, twice for the silver dog and then thrice for the gold dog. the motherfucker wasted all the gold he took then found out the secret of the tinder box and proceeded to use it to kidnap the princess because he wanted to see her so badly. as if that’s not enough, when he’s caught, he’s set up to be executed but uses the tinder box to kill the king and queen (her parents) and when everyone is terrified, they make him the king. FUCK THIS BITCH ITS SUCH A SHAME HE DIED LIVING AS A KING YOU LITTER FUCKER OMG it was just one chapter but it made me so mad.
