U can tell. I would agree. As an artist there’s a bajillion different ways u can portray a rape scene. And it’s always identifiable when it’s sexualised. Sometimes I think readers are naive when they think shit like this is like “you’re supposed to find it traumatising” no, YOU find it traumatising. The artist is jacking off to this shit.
When rape is portrayed in a non-sexualised way, even if the main character cums it focuses less on pleasure and more on action and psyche. This is a choice. It’s also shown from the victims perspective. In my experience 99% of the time when you’re seeing things from the rapists perspective it’s sexualising rape.
I’m only saying this because I’m tired of people thinking because THEY find it uncomfortable that it was the intention of the author/artist. Anyway.
