Am I the only one who thinks this sunbae isn't so bad? He listened, communicated his actual feelings, took action as a team with Hanjoo even though he had doubts about the situation just bc he wanted to give real dating a shot, and seems to have the ability to apologise too? Like hanjoo isn't perfect either so they've both got the same amount of red flags imo. Their relationship for me bumped up a rank after they discussed everything openly and put dating on the table, theyre more on equal footing and the flirting feels genuine. The spirit/Jihyun... I feel for him but I feel like he's purely a manifestation of Hanjoo's most desperate desires and idk if that's healthy as a relationship to hold onto??? Plus he seems to cause catastrophe on purpose to be closer to Hanjoo (altho we know it's Hanjoo's fault technically, this being defo did not explain any of that). Hanjoo is bound to his deal but he also made that deal as a child, so if he chooses to reinterpret it as an adult and fulfill it another way then I wouldn't blame him. I'm not fully against him as endgame but I really think there's an emptiness to that relationship and a lot of people in the comments seem to just accept it bc it's literally a technical default of their deal instead of like, bc they have chemistry and depth. Which is sad af bc relationships aren't something that just work on paper or by logic equations. Like maybe in later chapters they develop more chemistry but for now I'm really not understanding what's worth shipping them for.
