Things I remember about the story: 1. It's a black and white manga. Romance, not sure if josei or shoujo. 2. Features a female lead who in her previous life was kinda ugly (she had a sort of disfigured face) , wore a robe, lived in the forest, super kind. 3. Saved a little boy who ended up living with her for awhile. 4. Boy turmed out to be a prince or something. Soldiers came to rescue him, thought the ugly FL was evil, killed her. Boy was devastated because he adored her. 5. FL is reborn but she's now pretty, boy has grown up now, and still remembers the old FL fondly.
