Although I would find his design better with some sort of accessory on his head like whatever was cupping his jaw in that one panel because it would bring attention to his face rather than the gaudy armor (personal opinion), I feel like it's good design because it'd be 100% in character for him.
He's legitimately one of the only characters in this story that would look at fully clothed armor in the color purple that has: incredibly pointy shoulder pauldrons that would get caught in doorways, gauntlets with a blade sticking out of it that reminds me of some sort of ninja design, having gems placed upon it that probably have no function whatsoever, and looks ABSOLUTELY horrible to movie in-- and think that piece of armor would be the coolest thing ever and would wear it.
Honestly, at times he does look cool in the armor tho. However, the second you place him near people with normal looking clothes/armor and pfttttttttt
