Every mission always has me thinking, How the hell are they genuinely going to win this? Like, how do you possibly defeat them under these absolutely terrible conditions? And then, every single time, they manage to pull it off in a way that doesn't feel like deus ex machina (for me), which is honestly so cool.
And here I was thinking, Oh, they have really strong allies this time. Maybe it won't be as hard.
Then everybody died.
Of course. Of course this would happen. I shouldn't even be shocked anymore, but somehow the author always finds a way to get me.
