I know that this is not what the side stories had in mind. BUT, in MY mind I'm reading it as the harem ending. (⌒▽⌒) The whole group would've been perfect together.
(I do think they could've done better with Herrace's side though.)

I think the Harem ending/ they are all friends ending would’ve been the best endings
