I get it, I too thought the execution was off in the beginning but ml had no nefarious feelings for mc at all until he saw him at the airport, so he didn't intentionally groom him it was a by-product of his affectionate nature and how mc interpreted it.
But something about the story feels weirdly groomy... like, maybe if they waited longer before they reconnected, like when the bottom was already working on everything I'd be more comfortable with it but it feels like the author put them together immediately it was legal. Also, it's kind of weird that the top it has sexual feelings towards him despite the fact that the last time he saw him, he was a minor.
