I feel like the white light is like a representation of proof's regret and guilt because he feels like he's a knife and hurts the people around him without helping it and he fears one day he'll hurt garam to the point of garam leaving him behind also the prof trying to soothe things out everytime garam gets hurts out of panic and garam might be unhappy with the situation with the prof cus the prof unintentionally draws a line between them and garam scared prof breaks up if he crosses the invisible line gahh so complicated but we love to see it
