Correct me if I'm wrong because last I picked this story up was over a year ago, but isn't arel technically someone who's still mentally a child that just recovered her memories from her past life? i think she's even addressed it once in one of the early chapters that 'she's still a child and can't help feeling the way she does' or something along those lines.
my take is that she never grew up properly mentally n emotionally bc of her mom n the trauma so im trying not to mind her and pession's relationship. it is indeed weird, but it feels like she's still a child so ermm i keep forgetting it. also, c'mon this is the nature of isekai kids stories, have we not learned anything? anw, they r adorbs
