I honestly don’t think it’s that bad- there’s two major secrets and one gets revealed by chapter 30 ish and the other is going to be revealed soon- probably around chapter like 50-55 and then the story gets really good loll- and tbh I know they have their issues but they’re also really cute like it’s not super angsty!

I read that this has a significant miscommunication trope. To be honest, those usually ruin stories for me because the whole plot tends to revolve around keeping secrets or hiding feelings. Is this story like that? Examples of stories that were like that for me are "The Pizza Delivery Guy and the Golden Palace" and "A Strange Joke".
