It's not the artists fault, the company they are working with to produce it is trash.
They know this late in the series they won't be getting new readers and that any people already reading are invested enough to finish it no matter how crap the ending is.
Basically they don't want to pay for a 5 chapter decent ending when they could just pay for 1 chapter shit ending.

Why are these types of stories all ending suddenly like this with nothing explained? Like is this becoming a trend or something?
