The latest chapters reminded me of something I went through before.
My boyfriend's aunt never liked me. She even spread rumors about me, including to her coworkers. She kept telling people that I was "just" a private tutor working from home, while her nephew had a stable corporate job and earned a five to six-digit salary every month. She made everyone believe that I was only dating him for his money.
She wanted me out of his life and even tried to set him up with other girls while we were still together. Around that time, it affected my job until I completely lost my job, which left me anxious and depressed. My boyfriend blamed himself for everything that happened.
Eventually, he spoke up. He made a post on Blue app exposing everything she had done and warned others about her behavior. It sounded unbelievable at first, but many of his friends, coworkers, college classmates, and even some neighbors who knew his aunt came forward. They shared their own experiences and confirmed how toxic and malicious she had been.. Jeez not only toward us but toward other people as well.
Some even encouraged us to file a defamation case against her because of the damage she had caused to my reputation. We eventually filed a police blotter, and my partner decided to leave that household after we bought our own house and lot. We moved out and started building our own life together.
Now, we're both married and working as VAs, and we're grateful to earn an income that is more than what we expect every month. Btw, his auntie already p@ssed away due to high blood pressure.
