SPOILERS FOR VOLUME 8, which is still in serialisation, so don't expect me to spoil the whole thing, I'll just offer two chapters that I think are important for the people who are expecting some romance or at least character growth. I'll start saying that there's no kiss in Vol. 7, but they get closer and clingier. Something interesting happens in chapters 2 and 3 of volume 8 though:
In Ch. 2, Kuzuya peeks at Kasuya's phone, it's his mom, who's asking how the wedding preparations are going. Kuzuya panics and goes to ask Botan for advice, saying "what would I do when he proposes TO ME" and Botan is dumbfounded, like "she's talking about Tsubaki-chan you dumbass, he might've not told his mom they broke the engagement yet" and Kuzuya is like "haha, whoops, that makes more sense hehe". He knows this gossip will eventually reach Kasuya's mom, so he feels guilty, goes home and fucks Kasuya rather passionately, Kasuya's phone is in front of them and then it suddenly lights up with another one of his mom's messages, saying that she found out they've broken up, and when he sees it he's so scared that he clenches up his butthole as hard has he can, giving Kuzuya the orgasm of his life.
