I think that was the point of the ending, along with what happened in the last few chapters. Yes, its sad to think about in the long run, but they were able to bring comfort to that thought when geumryang and taesun learned to be content with living in the moment and the fact that later on theyll be able to meet eachother again in taesun's next life. :'))
Which is ironic because we see them being happy together with their babies but at the back of my mind, I cant help but think about the future where only one of them is getting older and will succumb to the short life of a mortal
