i concur! this chapter was the ticking bomb finally blasting. the topic needed to be opened and discussed at length between shinwi and ban after the last couple of chapters. shinwi saying what was on his mind in the way he knows best (facing it head on) may have been brusque but also true to his character. and this was more important for ban. because now having gotten these things off his chest instead of allowing it to fester silently in crevices his mind must surely have brought clarity and consolation to his heart. something which he can soon act upon if he chooses to (which i hope he will after this confrontation).
i too am expecting a tiime skip of a few months to years now, it'll give both shinwi and ban to grow into themselves and get perspective of life - considering how impactful this chapter has been and how crystal shinwi was in putting his foot down about ending the work partnership he and ban had previously agreed upon. they definitely need some time to grow separately (without growing apart).
love the writing, and i am sure whatever the author has in store for these two kids will be nothing short of amazing. can't wait for more of R2R.
exactly exactly omg! it was so painful watching ban repress all his thoughts and emotions and let himself be hurt over and over again in exchange for a false sense of normalcy, shinwi, although his words were so brash and painful, made ban face reality and acknowledge everything he tried to hide away. i’m so excited to see them develop and change aaaaa super cool in characters in a super cool cyberpunk world it can’t get better than this

that was such an interesting chapter omg i’m so glad that stuff is happening and all these things are being talked about!!! shinwi acknowledging that ray is a disgusting freak was refreshing, and are ban actually talk abt his feelings broke me :( shinwi obviously cares a whole lot for ban and it’s probably his first time feeling this strongly toward someone, especially in a romantic aspect. seeing ban struggle so much in a way shinwi just can’t comprehend lead to shinwi saying really hurtful stuff but it’s also understandable and in character ? he’s rash and immature but is such a good kind character. i kind of agree that a time skip here feels appropriate, now that they’ve acknowledged these things in the open it would be v meaningful to see ban move on from ray and live without feeling the need to belong to someone, particularly his abuser. and for shinwi he really needs time to grow into himself and process his feelings for ban, and come to terms with the fact that he might never really understand the depth of why ban acts the way he does. if they meet again in like a couple months/years time, slightly more matured, and ready to join forces for a mission i think it’d be super cool and interesting. i just can’t see either of them crossing paths for now after this argument and how it ended, made me v sad though :( pls be happy guys!!!!!
