I'm glad that our FL is actually a child who is incredibly well read, but still naive to her environment and those around her. All of the children act like children with just a bit more mature tendencies due to them being from good families, so it's fun to see how they handle different situations through their kid like eyes.
I only hope that the red head doesn't become a 2nd ML. I really don't know why authors feel the need to add other love interests even when they know there's only going to be one pairing. I just end up feeling bad for those characters and feel like reading their romantic moments are a waste since we know it'll never happen. Plus, I like this friend group and don't want them to break up just because of shallow feelings.
I figured there would probably be a fake daughter plotline since the author wouldn't want to make too easy for the FL, but now I'm wondering if this will play out slightly different than usual since it seems like the ML is going to investigate the fake daughter, I would be pleasantly surprised if the emperor was to be informed before the festival and just let the antagonists dig their own graves. It would be fun to watch. But as long as they don't drag out the plotline I don't care if it doesn't play out how I think.
