So this is what i get from the vacation arc so far: - heejae was still gloomy because of the fish thing, he tried to change for garam but he'd been a cruel person his whole life and it made him feel like he was cursed to be a knife forever - the call from eva before the vacation, saying "you should've been kinder back then" added to heejae's insecurity - he tried to be gentle with garam during vacation, but garam thought heejae was forcing himself so he said that heejae could hurt him if he wanted to. Heejae recoiled and i think he felt like this was another curse he couldn't escape. Rough sex was heejae's preference, yes, but he had used it to punish and test garam before, so he thought garam was sacrificing himself to soothe heejae's fear of abandonment again - they tried having sex again, but this time heejae told garam that he didn't want to hurt him.
