against my fears of a rushed ending, the author really stuck the landing ₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎ ₊˚⊹♡ this journey was a lot of processing, feeling, accepting, and learning to let go while cherishing the present and what has been. the pacing and the emotions (both happiness and pain) just felt right. i really loved how the theme of mortality was handled in this one.

geumryang's growth felt gradual, genuine, and rewarding to witness. and seeing taesun slowly take charge of his own life and finally find a purpose beyond simply surviving after gramps' passing was just as rewarding. terribly rough start, but i loved seeing them learn to navigate their differences together and grow into such a loving family. but really MAJOR props to taesun's gentle kindness and patience. i don't think anything else could've taught geumryang how to be human.

and now they have three beautiful babies and geumryang as a girl dad (╥﹏╥) i still can't believe we've made it to the end. it's only just sinking in. this was such a beautiful story, and one i'll keep recommending ₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎ ₊˚⊹♡
