how bad do you need to be at kidnapping to not only let the bag together with the person you kidnapped but not even CHECK what's inside lol i know this is not trying to be realistic, but it would made more sense if he learned how to lockpick, get out of the room this way and find his backpack tossed somewhere. i imagine it's easier to hide lockpick tools in your body/clothes at least, so then it's plausible that they didn't find it
