My guess is 95% of the story is chasing then has a sweet ending spending time together the last 5 chapters. This otta be a long chase story.

Because this is mostly about Yoon's (chaotic and childish) efforts to get his ex back For like, the first half of the story, Yoon tries to monopolize Seojeong and gets jealous when Seojeong even so much as cast a glance or talk to the other cast members, and this is before him coming to terms or acknowledge his own feelings. He also takes care of Seojeong while acting like it's bothersome. Sometimes without Seojeong knowing which causes another misunderstanding on top of what they already have. Then, after he apologizes and confesses to Seojeong, he's even more desperate to win his love back, acting like a hopeless romantic and a devoted househusband

The pd and the main writer do use them for ratings, but they're, like, walking on a fine line. In a way, tho, it works in Yoon's favor

After Cha Yoon gets his memories back he stops chasing (so close enough, it was like 85% chasing) because he knows mc doesn't want the public to know that he's gay, he wants the programme to end and he planned to talk with mc after that, however after mc hears the convo abt the dog and how people decide to 'do' things because they think it's good for someone without realizing it's not what the other person wants and hurting them, mc realizes he was wrong, 'chases' ml (confesses to him on the last day) and in the end they become a final couple (although that was like 1% of the story, no sense of closure tbh. Great, they had a wedding, but it just ends at that. Felt kinda rushed to be honest, usually in drama driven stories they leave at least a few chapters of the couple getting along at the end, here we had nothing, except people reacting to cha-jung being real
I'm almost finished reading the novel and it's pretty fun. There's a lot of misunderstanding tho, so some people might feel annoyed. Especially with the way Cha Yoon behaves. His mindset returns to his 22 yo self, so not only is he immature, but also a full on tsundere since that's when he has had gay awakening for Seojeong. And the fact that he was brought up christian probs plays a part too, so expect some denials coming in future chapters. But the payoff is really worth it. Cha Yoon will apologize properly in a satisfying way, and after that, he starts to court Seojeong openly and affectionately. There's no chasing arc, since the whole story is basically a chasing arc.
