the phone number just made him more certain, he already knew who wooyeon was based on his name and his appearance. in the novel we get to see dohyun's pov and we see the pov when wooyeon asks dohyun if he was an alpha. dohyun thought the question was weird but still answered it then wooyeon ran way before dohyun could think about anything else. then later on, dohyun is talking to the female alpha, she was telling dohyun about the new freshmen and how pretty he is. dohyun asks the name thinking it was no special but that changes everything, as soon as he heard the name, he ran to the area where he saw wooyeon, trying to find him which wooyeon was already gone.
