so basically, taehee was the son of jaegyeom's teacher, myojeong. myojeong was a bangsangsi incarnation and every descendant of his, will share a same fate of predetermined death at the age of 33. since myojeong doesn't want taehee to share the same fate as him, he made taehee drink the mermaids blood (pill) that can make someone immortal. taehee drank it when he was a baby, altering his aging process (that's why he's still alive after 200 years)
though the choice of myojeong putting taehee in a coffin was so that someone could find him at the right time because no one will take care of him once he died, which is actually fucked up bc taehee ended up having a ruined childhood
