I don’t agree with the SA, I think it was done well not showing the scene and showing the after affects. It’s not something “hot” doesn’t matter if he use to like him, if the guy is hot, nothing - it’s meant to be as horrifying as they portray it and it’s executed well enough it didn’t piss me off (it did but like story wise if that makes sense)
