Like genuinely yeah he's like a little cruel but you can't just accept everyone willy-nilly in an apocalypse and he basically protects them all. If he did exactly what they wanted which is be a super kind man who's generous and let's mistakes pass and let's everyone in without figuring out if they are even worth it then it would just turn out horribly... They're talking about modern morality when modern morality would get them killed.

Like you can see he genuinely wants other people to survive if they're useful. He could just live on his own and he'd be fine it's very obvious but he makes this entire town, the hounds, even gets a teacher for the children. He even understands that even if you don't have the exact profession that he needs if you have something similar you're useful. But he is genuinely trying to make a town for the apocalypse a proper town for an apocalyptic setting.

Idk what you're hallucinating but I see that this guy made up a blueprint of what this town is supposed to have and what not, and that's about it. His morals only go into the black and white and everything inbetween gets sorted into either category, disregarding any nuance.

He scares the townsfolk by murdering a dad who just wanted his son to survive, and god knows how many similar incidents in the past. (And btw, you don't need to be the fairy fucking godmother to see that there are other ways of handling situations like that, especially when your people are watching the trial)
Let's do simple 1+1 math: When people are scared they're almost always going to rebel against their oppressors.
Just because Guwon doesn't realize he is one doesn't mean the townspeople have no justification.

God why would you go to such an extent to defend Guwon? When did this manhwa ever try to make him look like the reasonable leader??? Are we this down bad for his burly mutant dick?

Um….. I think what Guwon does goes FAR beyond modern morality… or even morality lmao. He literally kills people just because he feels like it there’s no rhyme or reason to it. Not because he has to or that it benefits their survival. He did not have to kill that kid’s father nor that hound nor basically anyone he’s killed at this point lol. He’s nowhere near a fair leader, he’s a serial murderer whose whims that they all have to cater to to avoid being the next victim lol and the fact that even HE doesnt realize it is what makes him even MORE dangerous
